Factory Supply Pure Tart Cherry Extract Anthocyanins ≥20%
Tart Cherry Extract: Product Introduction
Tart cherry (scientific name: *Prunus cerasus*), also known as European tart cherry, is a deciduous tree belonging to the genus *Prunus* in the Rosaceae family. Unlike common sweet cherries, tart cherries have a higher acidity, are richer in phenolic compounds, and have a significantly higher anthocyanin content than ordinary fruits. Tart cherry extract is made from the whole tart cherry fruit through extraction, concentration, and drying. It is rich in anthocyanin complexes (mainly cyanidin-3-glucoside), flavonoids, melatonin, and natural organic acids, making it a popular dietary supplement ingredient for uric acid management, exercise recovery, and sleep regulation.

YTBIO now professionally supplies tart cherry extract with an anthocyanin content ≥20%, retaining the active ingredients such as anthocyanins, flavonoids, natural melatonin, and organic acids found in tart cherries. It is suitable for various health products, including sports nutrition supplements, sleep regulation products, and functional food and beverage products.

Health Benefits
1. Lowering Uric Acid
Tart cherry extract can regulate uric acid metabolism: firstly, it inhibits xanthine oxidase activity, reducing uric acid synthesis at its source; secondly, it enhances the kidneys' ability to clear uric acid, accelerating its excretion. A controlled crossover trial published in the Journal of Dietary Supplements in 2025 showed that in healthy adults, daily supplementation with 500 mg of standardized tart cherry extract (containing 3.2% polyphenols) for 4 weeks reduced plasma uric acid levels from 7.01 mg/dL to 4.39 mg/dL, a reduction of 37.4%.

2. Anti-inflammatory and Cardiovascular Health
The same study showed that after four weeks of supplementation with tart cherry extract, subjects' C-reactive protein (CRP) levels decreased from 5.91 mg/L to 4.56 mg/L, a reduction of 23.4%. CRP is an important inflammatory marker for cardiovascular risk assessment, and even a small decrease has a positive impact on cardiovascular metabolic outcomes. Tart cherry anthocyanins can reduce vascular endothelial damage and inflammatory fibrosis by inhibiting the NF-κB inflammatory pathway and scavenging reactive oxygen species.

3. Accelerates Exercise Recovery
Studies have shown that tart cherries can significantly reduce serum lipid hydroperoxide (LOOH, a core marker of oxidative stress) levels after exercise and inhibit the release of exercise-induced inflammatory mediators. Supplementing with tart cherries in strength training and marathon runners resulted in decreased muscle damage indicators and a shorter recovery period, demonstrating a clear inhibitory effect on the accumulation of inflammation during continuous high-intensity exercise.
4. Improves Sleep Quality
Tart cherries are a natural food source of melatonin. Studies have shown that drinking tart cherry juice twice daily for two weeks can increase sleep time by approximately 84 minutes in elderly people with insomnia. Tart cherry extract provides a non-drug-dependent option for improving sleep.

5. Heart Health
Anthocyanins in tart cherries can reduce upstream myocardial damage caused by atherosclerosis by regulating blood lipids, while simultaneously repairing the NO-cGMP-PKG signaling pathway, balancing HO-1-mediated oxidative stress, and ultimately restoring cardiomyocyte calcium homeostasis and relaxation function. Their potential to improve early diastolic dysfunction has been validated in animal models.
6. Improved Cognitive Function
The combination of tart cherry extract and ω-3/ω-6 fatty acids can alleviate cognitive impairment and hippocampal inflammation in Alzheimer's disease model mice, improving spatial working memory by inhibiting neuroinflammation and improving neuronal autophagy. Simultaneously, anthocyanins can significantly reduce glucocorticoid-induced oxidative stress and muscle fiber apoptosis, potentially delaying the onset of sarcopenia in the elderly.
